DOSES OF HUMOR
It
was an ordinary day with not-so-ordinary me, dwelling on the computer screen
endlessly with nothing enticing to do when suddenly (Aila! Rhyme ho gya :O ), Pratidhi,
a new found Blogger-cum-friend asked me to do ‘guest posting’ on her Blog. Her

24 YEARS ON 22 YARDS- A Tribute to the legend, SIR SACHIN RAMESH TENDULKAR
The
person I’m referring here, needs no formal introductions. You might not be
aware who your neighbor is but you certainly know this legend, Sir Sachin
Ramesh Tendulkar. And indeed, this article is a tribute to his 24 years of
service to the nation.
Well,
the words might just not be enough to show gratitude, shower respect and praise
his achievements. Thus, have collected his blissful moments, never ending

Here
is a video of his FINAL speech which literally welled up my eyes. Actually, I did
cry a little. #NoShameToAccept
In
the end, I will just conclude saying that Sachin was just not cricket to India.
He had bigger importance than many other people in our country. And literally,
I’m proud to say that I grew up in the era of Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar and was highly
lucky to see him play. Perhaps, the upcoming generation will never know how
much this man meant to the nation!
Plus,
Sachin Tendulkar is the youngest and only sportsperson to win Bharat Ratna
award. So you see, it is a brilliant start to his new innings. J

MEMORIES OF CHILDHOOD
I
found these belongings of my childhood days while cleaning up my room this
Diwali. It brought back reminiscences of the past. Plus, I also
understood that it isn’t that bad to frequently clean up your room. Sorry ‘dust’
but you got to find some other residence now. :D

THE LIEBSTER AWARD
I was checking some of the blogs one day and found
this very enticing award being given to one of the fellow blogger. I was happy
for him. But since the word ‘award’ itself is enough to raise the curiosity in any
individual, so I happened to check on the details of the title which are as
follows:
‘The Liebster Award is given to up and
coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. So, what is a Liebster? The meaning: Liebster is
German and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind,
pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome. Isn't
that sweet? Blogging is about building a community and it's a great way
to connect with other bloggers and help spread the word about newer
bloggers/blogs.’
When I finished reading the above para I thought, I’m
a perfect person to be ‘nominated’, yes, at least nominated for this award. But
having found no such good news till now, ‘dil pe lag gyi’ kasam se!
Anyway, I know am being a sadist and that after
putting this post on my blog, a few of the nominations will definitely pop-up
in order to cheer me! But hey, I don’t want anything as a charity. For me,
being worthy of something is far more important than getting a reward in
return. Trust me.
I know, there are A LOT OF PEOPLE who are far more deserving, so I’m not sad at all. It’s ok, it’s fine. As it is said ‘if you deserve something, it comes to you at the right time’. J

Meeting an Old Friend
Meeting an old friend is a moment of sheer bliss. You can recall the sweet old days, various memories of childhood and what not? In short, your whole life just seems to replay. And luckily, today I got to meet one of my oldest pals after 8 years! Although we were in contact through social networking sites but meeting in person is something truly divine. And it is rightly said that the most valuable antiques are dear old friends. :)

The Hapless Ishant
In the midst of the 2nd
innings when the Indians were celebrating RUN-TERAS, my father just happened to
check on the scores. Apparently, it was Vinay Kumar who was brutally beaten up
by James Faulkner that time. But since, my father isn’t aware about the typical
names of the players, so he asked me, ‘Wo bade baal wala hi bowling kar raha
hoga, hena?’ He meant Ishant Sharma in his own way to which I replied, ‘Wo to
nhi he but uska bhai zaroor kar raha he.’ :D

Anyway, keeping the
jokes aside, I really feel pity for this guy, Ishant. Considering the fact that
ups and downs are a part and parcel of life, people should support instead of mocking
at him so profusely. Shockingly, now the situation has become so intense that
his name is being used as a punchline. For example, ‘When life offers you
SHARMA, make it ROHIT and NOT ISHANT’. Poor guy.
In the end, I can
only hope that he comes back with a boom, shutting everybody up for good and help
India attain greater goals in the upcoming time.
