Starting again!
This is the kind of moment wherein Mihir Virani returns after years back to 'Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' (No guilt in accepting that I loved that show). Well, you would wonder how exactly? Apparantly, this is my first post after 2 years. So, the prodigal son returns 2.0!
What took you so long to write anything? Why the sudden turn around? I will answer it in two words that describe me characteristically to an extent: Lazy and Moody.
Plus, COVID has been tough for all of us to be frank, a lot was dealt with. A lot of social and workplace lifestyles got changed. And the right space wherein we generally feel happy wasn't available for most of the time because of whatever was happening around us. And meanwhile, I got married as well. The best thing that happened during this phase. :)
This is just a random scribbling, so don't expect it to have any in-depth analysis, musings etc. The only reason I am writing it is because from quite some time I have been thinking, how many hobbies have we dropped in the last 10 years or so and what caused the change!
I am pretty sure, if you look back, most of us loved to play any sport, write, dance, sing; the list is endless. There was something that we absolutely loved doing in our spare time. And then something happened that just kept changing us as a person from within.
You are not the same person as you were 10 years ago. If I have to strictly speak about myself, then I am not the same person at a lot of levels that I used to be. One can reason, this is what we call maturity, this is life my friend etc etc. I get it.
But don't you think this also has to do with the conditioning around us? The fear of missing out, is at the highest levels now that it ever used to be with the internet social world being right at our fingertips. Don't you think, someone to whom travelling doesn't come naturally, is suddenly having the time of his life doing it, just because there are other folks doing it in ample?
For folks who know me for years, they can vouch that I do not like sharing photographs of my life around social media to great extent. And see, in 2022, here I am, signed up on Instagram and doing it all. And I have no fear excepting it that FOMO was one of the many reasons behind it.
Why it all can't be normal if you can simply avoid doing the 'trend' or things that everyone is doing? Don't you think the reason is more skewed towards 'FOMO' than 'genuine' ?
And now, back to my original question, why do we leave out our hobbies as years progress? The ones that we actually loved. And what it takes to start again?
You are the best person to answer that first question for yourself, as stories differ and there is no generalization to it, in my opinion. As for the second, I think, it only takes a moment (plus a cup of tea for me, always) to realize nobody really cares if you start again or not, or do something that you like. As long as you are doing it for yourself, you will be happy. And that should be the only thing that matters. :)

Crazy. Young. Us
On last Friday, 24th May 2019, I was having a chit-chat
with my office colleagues about various things; notably of which was 'how much
we have changed in recent years!’
The
conversation started when we noticed that the photo on the ID card barely
matches the people wearing it. There is a noticeable difference in face and all
that jazz around it. They instantly declared my id to be somebody
else's. I didn't doubt them. I have changed a lot.
After
this, we began scrolling through each other's Facebook timelines of the early
days of Facebook. A steep stretch of
embarrassment and a mild smile at the corner of the lips, remembering those old
days, could be easily noticed. There were multiple occasions of each person disbelieving it to be themselves
who could put a status or share a poem like that EVER in their life. But it was
us, we knew.
While
I was scrolling through my Facebook wall, I could see dance videos,
relationship advice,
and life lessons. Can you imagine, life lessons coming from a 16-year-old me!
I was astounded.
Or was I? I leave it with you to decide.
Anyways,
I scrolled through almost every single post and was enthralled,
embarrassed but also proud. Proud because I used to come out of my comfort zone
and write all those stuff. I used to put in efforts, form a dance group, set
the choreography by hook
or crook watching other dance videos. Put in hours to make 1 thing
at a time possible. And eventually do it. If I wanted to write a story, I used
to put in hours and hours to write 1 perfect (in my mind) story
and publish it online on my blog and patiently wait for the likes and comments.
Even 1 like and a comment was enough to make
my day.
Or merely the fact of me publishing it online was orgasmic.
In short, my younger version was bold
enough to do what he wants. And if we all look back, we all might be able to
relate to this notion.
After realizing this, I instantly asked this question to
myself, why am I not anymore the way I used to
be? Why am I not that guy who as per one of my friend, involved-into-something-new- every-day crazy anymore? Why have I lost the touch of
experimenting or learning new things? What have I possibly done wrong and
thought it to
be right which has made me this damn lazy and a
serious procrastinator?!
And the list of similar questions flooded my mind.
I was
taken aback. I thought about it for some time,
thought about it some more, then some more, but all in vain. It is inconclusive
still at my end why most of us feel they are lazy and just passing through
their life; not living it to the most!
We all might have our own story around it. But in the end,
there is 1 thing in common between all of us. One thing that most of us would
agree to become. And that is to
be the younger version of ourselves again.
For the same, I have taken a step forward by writing this post
and sharing it with you all, just like I used to do once upon a time. Tell me
in comments if you agree on what I have stated and what could be possible
reasons for us becoming, frankly, boring?
P.S: I couldn’t come up with a suitable title for this
post! Sorry! :P

EK AAM KAHANI # 7

“Bhai, kal tu college ja raha he?”
“Nhi!”
“Chal me bhi nhi jayunga fir”
Felt nostalgic, a little? I sure did.
And this brings me to the first thing you cannot do when you start working, which are such implusive emotional decisions. If you disagree, then remember the number of times you have taken an unplanned leave on a Monday?!
Due to such and many more small yet significant things, I miss the college days and I am sure a lot of you feel the same. After all, those were the days when you could take emotional decisions freely, bunk the classes without hesitation and had a group of friends called your gang who always stuck around through all your highs and lows.
However, now, after you have started working in a company, the table has turned. Performance ratings and appraisals have wiped off emotions and caged in ‘aaj kuch tufaani karte hai’ moments which were in plenty during the college days.
Now, the most tufaani moment is to get that trouser fit in, after compressing that next-to-pregnant-belly, a little, and to leave the office at 6 pm on Friday.
Also, you spend every single day thinking about making more money and using the same to find happiness, which was free back in the college days.
A lot of other changes have come as well, like back then, when you couldn’t afford a McD meal on your own, sadly now, when you can, you don’t have friends to share it with!
Also, in college, when a cup of chai with friends was enough to make our day. Now, even a team party at a lavish 5-star hotel doesn’t give that sort of satisfaction.
Honestly, no matter how many friends you make in your professional life, the place in your heart that your college buddies have can never be replaced (unless one of them went on to be your gf and then ex-gf) because, ‘Aur bhosdike, kaisa he?!’ is more pleasant to the ears than ‘Hey, how are you?!’ (unless coming from a total stranger)
At the end, am pretty sure you too had one hell of a ride this year. A lot of changes would have come, new promises made, few broken, people were left behind, certain life changing decisions would have been taken.
In fact, a couple of your friends would have even gotten married. But all this while, even if you were not the best version of yourself. Maybe, you couldn’t commit to what you promised at the start of this year. Or perhaps, your office life is totally a lost case, believe this and just remember your college day. Maybe, it won’t fix the current situation you are in, but it would definitely break the stress and lighten the tension, which in most cases is enough to get going.

Do what you like because…?
Recently, I visited a mall in Bhopal. It was evening and there was a rock show going on near the entrance. I was with a friend and we both stopped to check out the singer. He was literally good, and thus we spent some time at the place hearing him out.
![]() |
| Um..Not exactly my point! |
Amidst the contrasting lighting, I figured out that the singer was someone I have known before. On carefully watching his face, keeping my patience and sanity intact, I figured out that he was a school junior.
We used to play football back in the days. And have even exchanged pleasantries one time recently. Honestly, I was awestruck with his voice. Trust me, I don’t praise unless I mean it completely.
In fact, his semester exams were going on that time. So, giving out such a performance in a crucial time when your exams are on the head is a big thing. I can’t really imagine myself doing that.
But, more or less, he was the man of the hour who was doing what he does best; sing.
Amidst all the glitter, glamour and singing, I was constantly in conversation with my friend who was relishing the aura, songs and what not? Everything.
Me: Yaar, banda to gajab ga raha he. Hena?
Friend: Han bhai. Talented he.
Me: Wahi to yaar. Aur mujhe hawa bhi nhi lagi aajtak. Rockstars logo se contact he mere.
Friend: Tere bagal me aaj Ambani khada he. Tujhe ye baad me realize hoga.
Me: Hao! Acha, iske papers chal rahe he. Manna padega. Tab bhi show kar raha he.
Friend: Bhai, paper waper hote rehte he. Wo sab nikal jayega. Sab pass ho jate he. Ye har koi nhi karta he. Yahi life he. Jo pasand he wo karo.
And this is the point that struck me.
Do what you like. Do as you like. Do even if nobody notices it. Just do it. (Nike, will you pay me for the ad?)
Because it makes you happy!

How I learned a necessary lesson of life?
There
have been a lot of talks about women empowerment lately all around. So, I am
here to share one such incident from my childhood that taught me a lesson for
life and is also connected to the same topic in one way or the other.
I
was 11, or perhaps 12 in age that time. I stayed in housing board colony back
in those days when that life-changing-humor-coated incident took place.
It
was a summer afternoon. And one of our neighbor’s daughter was at our place.
That time it was a jolly environment. Everyone can be found in everyone else’s
house as if they all were family members. Sadly, this thing has changed
drastically over a time now!
Anyway,
she was around 8 or less, I hardly remember except for the fact that she was
very young. And like every normal day, she made a visit to play around that day
as well.
So,
at that time I was having a bath when she entered and wandered around lifting
various things from the house just to end her curiosity. My mom enjoyed her
company and thus never complained or scolded her from doing anything at all.
After
a few minutes when I came out of the bathroom wrapping a towel, and only that,
for obvious reasons, I noticed her playing around with my favorite wind chime.
Wind
chimes were pretty popular at those days. You may end up getting 3-4 pieces as
your birthday gift if people wished to break a tradition of gifting lunch box
and crayons. But this one was especially picked by me on some random occasion
which is hard for me to recall. It looked fancy with a bit of greenish scenery
on the plates of it. Golden chains enhanced its look and style. The sound of it
was sober and felt good to ears. It was my favorite, no doubt. And above
everything, I hated if anybody would even touch it. I was a stubborn kid back
then especially for the things I loved. No sacrifice at all. No it, no but. It
was my rule.
So,
I could see that girl almost struggling to take that wind chain out of the
hook. I got a little angry for it was my nature. But then, there was a question
of humiliation if I went to stop her wrapping a towel and nothing else. I was a
shy kid; very shy. I wouldn’t even open my t-shirt for a doctor to examine me
in case of a checkup. That shy. After all, it was mah body, so mah rulezzz…!
Thus,
I stood at a distance for a while for her to stop doing that by God’s grace
because it was getting into my nerve. But only when I wished for it, she
dropped it by mistake and it shattered after landing on the floor. The chains
were miles apart from the case and the green fountain plate that held every
chain together was on her hand as if wishing to rejoin. Sadly, nothing
happened, the wind chain didn’t join again why would it? It was reality.
Another
reality was that I almost lost my temper on a jiffy. I rushed towards her and
so my mom after the havoc (in my terms) took place. I got first in the race and
as soon I reached the spot, I did not think for a fraction of a second and
slapped that little girl. I was furious and out of control.
My
mom, who came second in the race, saw everything. The little girl started
crying. And I immediately regretted my action. I was a kid back then but if I
ever saw a girl crying I would do anything to stop her from shedding tears. I
still do. And I believe everyone must do too. Not just for girls but for men
too. As men cry as well.
And
that day I could almost see myself crying too. Why? Because my mum was about to
hit me which was evident through her face and actions.
Her
right hand came like a sucker punch on my back and hit me twice. Her left palm
hit my cheeks. And then came the blow that blew everything off. She hit me
again and my towel dropped down. Oh my!
The
girl who was continuously crying all this long suddenly stopped. Why wouldn’t
she? Magic happened and I was exposed. I could see the world watching me naked
and making a mockery out of it, although there were only two people.
Imagining
this situation my eyes filled up. But I could not keep my palm on my face to
hide my tears because something even more important was out open. So, I made
the best use of my little hands and rushed towards the other room and closed
it.
I
cried for the next 10 mins or so. After
all, I was a victim of wardrobe malfunction. I wasn’t paid too for that act.
And, all this hurt a lot. So, I took notes of wearing underwear immediately
after having a bath so as to avoid mishaps that involved genitals or anything
of that importance.
However,
amidst all this drama and exposure, I learned a very important lesson that I still
carry with me. I learned not to hit a girl at all. Doesn’t matter what she has
done, but never hit her. Never let go of chivalry no matter what. Of course you
won’t get anything for it and maybe you would be hurt at the end. But then what
good it is to be a man if you can’t be like one?

Are we two faced or more?
I
was surfing Facebook and listening to Galliyan- Ankit Tiwari (all this doesn’t
matter) when this question crossed my mind; Are we two faced or three or more?
Sounds interesting, right? By the way, just so you know, I am not talking about
human anatomy at all. This is away, far away from science. This is life, where
you find two or three or any-number-of-your-choice faced people. I hope you get
the drift.
![]() |
| Two-face from Batman |
So,
the story of a two faced person (not that villain from Batman) starts when he
backstabs somebody and that somebody in return does his nomenclature like this.
The reason for betrayal can be anything that depends upon the situation and we
won’t analyze it in this article. However, in reality, absence of guts to speak
or do things up front compels a person to become two faced or more.
However,
there is more to it. Till now, we saw other’s perspective of somebody being two
faced. Now, what if I tell you that we actually change our character according
to situations?! Shocking, right? But, this is true.
Do
this activity once and you will find the above notion to be true. Next time
when you meet your friends or anybody in general who is not your family member
just keep noticing (and remember) the way you talk and behave.
Now,
when you come back home and spend time with your family over dinner or lunch (or
any meal in between because other time you are busy on the internet) once again
notice your behavior. Am sure you will find a change in it from the way you played
yourself out to the world.
So,
this far you are already two different people. You are a born actor my friend.
Congratulations. Directors are looking for a chap like you. Go, catch them all.
Anyway,
the final step. And, this step once done will show you the real you. Trust me,
I don’t kid for free. All you need to do is find some solitude or a mask to
hide behind. Best way is to create an anonymous identity on the internet, just
for this activity. So, you are hidden due to it. Nobody can see you until you
reveal yourself or you don’t know how to be anonymous on the internet. If it is
the 2nd case, internet will help you. Best wishes!
So,
once anonymous, pick any random person of any gender or your choice. Remember,
this is a hard task to do because people don’t easily get in touch immediately
with a stranger. But, let us assume you are successful in doing this. Now,
start to chat with them. And, more importantly, read and remember what you say
to them. Because when you will recall it you will realize that it was all true.
You didn’t say anything to flaunt yourself or to play defensive in anyway
unlike the other two scenarios above. And you will be shocked to know, but this
is the real you. The person whom you behave like in the third case is you. The things
that you truly believe are revealed in the third case when you are behind a
mask. After all, it is rightly said, give a man a mask and he will show you who
he actually is.
![]() |
| Is this right? |
So,
finally, just count the number of characters you played in total. Am sure you
are smarter than a fifth grader and would be with an answer, three.
Congratulations. Or in Archimedes’ style, Eureka because we have found the
number of faces people have and it is three. So, next time if somebody says
that there are 7 billion people in this world and 14 billion faces; correct
them with 21 billion. Remember, each one has 3 faces, except for Harvey Dent,
who has 5!
Thank
you for visiting this blog. Have a great day!

Movies, TV series and songs!
This
is one moment for which I wait patiently. The moment I get to write something.
Bring out something, a story, a memoir, anything, not a verse though (just so
you know). And today I am happier than most of the recent times while penning
something on this blog. The reason can be anything. May be the last night
movie, The Imitation Game; recommended. Or even the successful completion of
The Vinci’s Demon’s season 2; another thing I would recommend. Or may be
anything else is doing the trick. But, does the reason matter? I believe, not,
because being happy is all we care about. Or, I care about.

| Overpriced popcorn and cold drink |
Anyway,
talking about a movie and a TV series brings me to this great song that I heard
on YouTube, ‘Kaun Mera’. It was
performed by ‘Papon’ at ‘MTV Unplugged Season 4’. You must have heard it, am
sure, perhaps, the original version from the movie ‘Special 26’.
So,
I heard the song and I came to realize that how desperately I want to attend a
live show of MTV Unplugged. It has always been my wish to do that. But, since
it stayed in my subconscious, so never got a lucid signal. However, I know this
now and want to go for it. May be, some day will get lucky.

| A poster of MTV Unplugged (I know, you know) |
Now,
since have initiated my talk in regards to movies, TV series and songs, so I
would like you to help me with it. Kindly post a list of your favorite songs,
movies, TV series below in the comments and I would try to go through all of
those, if not already done. Also, if you are aware about how one can attend a
live show of MTV Unplugged (wherever it happens), please do me a favor and
comment about the same. I would really appreciate your help.
Will
be awaiting your comments. J

A random post
Every
time I step in to put something on my not-at-all famous (stats reveal) blog I
carry a bag full of stories, events and lessons all for free. However, this bag
has only 1 section, so everything is kept inside the same, which eventually
ends up creating a crazy mixture of all those things that I wish to say. In
short, right now I have no idea where this post is heading. But, I am happy
that you are still reading it, patiently looking for something, carrying along,
bearing all of it. And trust me, this is the best thing.
It
is so good to see people be with you through your journey. Even if it is for a
short time, it feels good. You have somebody who can vouch for you, help you
and above everything, be with you. Being together is the most important part. And
that gives a feeling of satisfaction and bliss. (NOTE:
This has been written irrespective of the gender of the other person. This
shouldn’t be confused with a boy-girl relationship. Perspective is totally
neutral. Thank you!)
![]() |
| True, right? |
However,
we don’t realize this thing, this one important thing until we start on our
own. When we don’t have people from our daily life who have been a constant support
just by being there; when we just can’t be lazy enough to procrastinate our
work or put it on others (if possible); or I should say, when we have new faces
all around us, that is the moment when we start to miss all of the above
things. Being together, so as to put.
In
the end, I would say that be good with people, if not then don’t be bad at least,
because you would never know when you might need their support. And trust
me; ‘support’ is more than just a word. Live alone and you will understand.
Enough said.
So,
that’s all for free. You can subscribe to this blog of mine where I have been
posting some or the other thing till 2014. Haven’t been able to keep up the
same in 2015 so far, but hey, this is just February, right? So, subscribe
anyway and get amused, tickled and lectured at random times. I don’t make big
promises. Also, you can contact me through the contact form available on this
blog. I always reply to your messages because I hardly get any. Don’t laugh, I
actually don’t receive any message. But that being said, you can always make a
change. I love to see changes. And, until next time, good morning, good
afternoon and good night. Sayonara.

A joke that went wrong!
I
was talking to one of my friends today and got complimented for being humorous.
Yeah, you guessed it right, the friend was a female. Reason being, boys do not
compliment their friends (male) at all, or do it behind their back, but never on
the face. The only thing that they do upfront is abuse and smirk after that! The
ugly truth!
Can I, please?
Anyway,
the compliment reminded me of an incident that was 3 years old. It is of the
time when I was new to college life. And that was a phase when I got a lot of lessons
on communication: When to start? With whom to start? And what to start with?
So,
it was a normal day which was about to take a U-turn. I logged into Facebook
that day, just like a routine, in the evening. I kept scrolling for about an
hour or so; judged people through their status updates and photos. And even posted
a few of my own and kept waiting for the likes, as always!
Out
of the blue, I recalled one of the important things from my daily life.
Normally, the notification of such “important” stuffs popped up while I used to
be in college. But, that day was something different and thus this strange
anomaly happened.
So,
to clear out that stuff, I checked on my chat list for any senior. Luckily, I
found one. So, without wasting time, I went ahead, bang bang bang and the
questions were sent. Now, only I had to wait for the answers! Simple job it
seemed to me!
He
started writing the answers and those kept getting delivered to me every time
he pressed ENTER. The conversation seemed absolutely fine. In fact, it was so
fine that my inner self got enormously excited (not in the wrong way) and then
I did something which I regret now.
The
messages that he typed were quite difficult to read, frankly. Reason being, he
was using the sms language which ain’t very fond of or even used to! So, my
inner Kapil Sharma got activated and I sneered at him for the same.
I
said, “It seems like by the end of this conversation, I will have a degree in
archeology.”
He
asked, “How?”
And
I jotted this line with a grin on my face, “because it is difficult to read
your hand writing which truly resembles those from the ancient times.”
And
tada, this is how I triggered the bomb; literally!
He
got enraged and replied me furiously which was clear through his words. How?
Those were in Hindi and contained something we call as “abusive” words
profusely!
I
was totally stunned because I never really expected such a reaction from
anybody. It has been my favorite job to pull people’s leg but the table never
got turned in this way at all!
I
immediately threw in the towel and surrendered. The guy was muscular and he
could have beaten the shit out of me. Adding to the fact, he was a senior too.
So, double death was waiting ahead had I reacted in any way except apologetically!
Truly, madly and deeply!
So,
I began with the universal line “I am sorry” and ended with “I won’t repeat it
again”.
Now,
guess what? He wasn’t convinced. Who would? The lines I used to apologize were
too lame, old and short. Apology has to be written in long sentences (if a paragraph,
then better) with sorry as an integral part which 1 must embed in as many
places as they can, as only then, the feelings are transferred; digitally
transferred (Bluetooth doesn’t work here)!
This
thing went on for 30mins straight and I almost wanted to pee 60 times in that
while! The moment we stopped the conversation with him forgiving me for the
last time and me taking notes from this massacre; I went on to block him and
made up my mind to skip the college for the next 3 days! Prevention is better
than cure, I recalled.
Hufff….
Once done with the blocking, I gave a sigh of relief and went to pee. After
coming back, I made it a point not to indulge into a super friendly
conversation that involves even a pinch of mockery with anyone, especially
strangers. Because, you never know, which statement the other person might find
offensive. And, if you are not muscular, or a person with contacts to such
people, then you just might end up in the nearest hospital or come across some “you-know-what”
words which you might not like to hear!

An experiment with fate
It is my first experiment with posting on this blog through my cell phone. The reason behind it is just not confined within the experimental boundaries, but extend to reveal my ever green curiosity to express my thoughts (sometimes even weird).
Anyway, let me tell you the reason why I wrote this post?
It was almost midnight when I made up my mind to pen it down. By the way, I've my way of revealing things that mostly resembles to that of the news channels. Important part strikes later. But, with that being said, ain't giving you permission to skip to the last part of this post (in Bane's voice). So, stick around....please!
Anyway, that time I was listening to Ninidya Re (good song; recommended) and just gazing at the screen of my cellphone wondering about a lot of things, which I'm very sure a lot of people definitely do right before they go to sleep.
However, out of all those countless thoughts, 1 thing entitled me to write this post. And the thing was, I realized that the more you run behind what you want in life, faraway it goes.
I won't tell you how did I infer this conclusion, but 1 thing I would definitely want you to do. Firstly, find out a thing that you have been desperately trying to get since a long time but somehow it has remained aloof.
Now, once done with the first step, try to think as less about that thing. Just avoid thinking about it as much as possible.
With time, it might happen that you forget about that thing; Not kidding! And, suddenly 1 day, out of the blue, that wish might come true and you would be tongue-tight and elated, both at the same time.
However, in spite of everything being said and done, please do not apply this thing for educational goals. Reason being, for that 1 thing, there are no shortcuts. You will have to work hard to achieve goals associated with it.
But, for everything else, this thing might come as a surprise to you. Happy experimentation!

90's life and my evergreen love…
I
still remember my 90s life. There were minimum resources available. No peer
pressure in comparison to what I feel today. Internet was a by-gone thing. And,
all day long I only craved for the clock to strike 5 in the evening. It was my
playtime which was so endearing to me that I could do anything for that. I
could even wake up at whatever time one would ask me to play a game of cricket
or soccer. I was that big a sports lover. However, there were limited games
that I was fond of and basketball wasn’t one of them. Unfortunately, its consequence
can be seen by the people who have seen me in real life.
I
remember that big playground which was common for every sport whatsoever. From
cricket, football to piddu and even an out of the blue cycle race were held on
the same ground. Sometimes, all at the same time. There was no scarcity of
players in those days. Call for one and get 3 more players for free. Even, everyone
was a Sachin, Messi and Osain Bolt in their own way. And, almost everyone had
their pet field name. Mine was Michael Clark.
I
still wonder why that guy named me Clark because I was an all-rounder who was
capable enough to perform in both batting and bowling. On the contrary, Michael
Clark is more of a batsman. I guess, that guy who named me wasn’t aware about
Cricket that much. Anyway, I was elated to get a name to the least because
there were ample of others who weren’t nick named yet. But, today I realize
that it is difficult to build a reputation of your own than to acquire somebody
else’s. I was naïve back then and such big things were far fletched for me to
contemplate about.
I
remember that football-cum-run-behind-a-ball-game that had no rules on the
field. The only time people used to stop when the ball had crossed the goal
post making a goal or no goal, whatsoever. I and my friends were crazy back
then. We watched cricket but loved playing football more. For us, Ronaldo was
the only player of football in the whole world. Everyone wanted to be ‘Ronaldo.’
However, majority ended up getting sardonic remarks, like, ‘Bada aaya Ronaldo
banne chala he’ and many more.
Now,
the time has changed drastically. Fields have turned into beautiful enclaves. We
have grown up both physically and intellectually too. Everyone is busy with
their life doing some or the other thing. Everyone is running to win a race,
but not in the field. But, in spite of all these things, one thing that still
persists is the sportsmanship. I can’t testify for others but even today if
someone would ask to get up in the morning to play any sports (except
basketball), I would be the first one to reach the field. And, I’m happy to
retain that love for sports till date in my life.

Life and a window seat
It seems
like; posting anything on the blog after a month has become a habit for me
which is hard to change. But, that doesn’t mean I don’t want to be more
active on the blog. Of course, being the most active blogger is the ultimate
aim of everyone who blogs (added with ample of readers). And that is mine too.

Anyway,
the fact that I’m here (and you are here too) always entitles me to write
something to grip your attention till the end and in the process satisfy myself
through expression of thoughts. Well, the latter being the more significant
part. That being said, it doesn’t mean I don’t love your presence. Your
presence is deeply respected and delightful for me which goes unsaid.
Keeping
everything in mind, here I come to the point. This morning (that’s not
important) while travelling through a bus, as always, I was looking outside the
window. I was lucky to get the window seat like most of the time. It is my
favorite. Reason being, if you dislike something which is going inside the bus,
all you got to do is to stare out of the window. This one thing has always
motivated me to get that seat by hook or by crook.
Sitting
on the window seat and looking outside at random people doing random things is
itself very interesting. At times, it is even motivating it its own way. You
see ample of things, like, children going to school or bunking, whatever;
shopkeepers resting in their shop and passing time by watching something on the
mini-television. Likewise, there are many activities that go on and
on. And, we just pass through them.
This
gives me a sense that life never stops at any point. It goes on and on, showing
its every colour to us. Testing us, tricking us, but ultimately teaching us
something in the end. Life is full of colours; we just need the right eyes to
see those. By this, I don’t mean that you should go to an eye specialist. It is
philosophy; it automatically comes while you are graduating. Just, from
engineers, it comes out more quickly.
Well,
talking about philosophy, there is a self-made quote: Philosophy comes out when
you are heartbroken, married, wasted or you are an engineering student. Well,
the last part can be replaced with any course and it will still work.
Since, I’m an engineering student, so putting it upfront was necessary. It is
called brand promotion. Marketing people would know.
Anyway,
the post has come to an end and without a farewell card or treat I would like
to thank you for being a ‘Musafir’ till the end of this post. May be, it wasn’t
the best of the post from me, but I’m very sure that you must have enjoyed the journey
from the start till the end! After all, the most fascinating thing about
reaching a destination is the journey we go through.
