Life After You Start Working
“Bhai, kal tu college ja raha he?”
“Nhi!”
“Chal me bhi nhi jayunga fir”
Felt nostalgic, a little? I sure did.
And this brings me to the first thing you cannot do when you start working, which are such implusive emotional decisions. If you disagree, then remember the number of times you have taken an unplanned leave on a Monday?!
Due to such and many more small yet significant things, I miss the college days and I am sure a lot of you feel the same. After all, those were the days when you could take emotional decisions freely, bunk the classes without hesitation and had a group of friends called your gang who always stuck around through all your highs and lows.
However, now, after you have started working in a company, the table has turned. Performance ratings and appraisals have wiped off emotions and caged in ‘aaj kuch tufaani karte hai’ moments which were in plenty during the college days.
Now, the most tufaani moment is to get that trouser fit in, after compressing that next-to-pregnant-belly, a little, and to leave the office at 6 pm on Friday.
Also, you spend every single day thinking about making more money and using the same to find happiness, which was free back in the college days.
A lot of other changes have come as well, like back then, when you couldn’t afford a McD meal on your own, sadly now, when you can, you don’t have friends to share it with!
Also, in college, when a cup of chai with friends was enough to make our day. Now, even a team party at a lavish 5-star hotel doesn’t give that sort of satisfaction.
Honestly, no matter how many friends you make in your professional life, the place in your heart that your college buddies have can never be replaced (unless one of them went on to be your gf and then ex-gf) because, ‘Aur bhosdike, kaisa he?!’ is more pleasant to the ears than ‘Hey, how are you?!’ (unless coming from a total stranger)
At the end, am pretty sure you too had one hell of a ride this year. A lot of changes would have come, new promises made, few broken, people were left behind, certain life changing decisions would have been taken.
In fact, a couple of your friends would have even gotten married. But all this while, even if you were not the best version of yourself. Maybe, you couldn’t commit to what you promised at the start of this year. Or perhaps, your office life is totally a lost case, believe this and just remember your college day. Maybe, it won’t fix the current situation you are in, but it would definitely break the stress and lighten the tension, which in most cases is enough to get going.

The story of my placement
I’m
not a big fan of boasting about my campus placement. But then, I’m not a saint
either, right? So, putting it in simple words that this blog’s owner has
finally bagged a company (2nd company by statistics) called XL
Dyanimics Inc.
For

I’m
putting this thanksgiving at the end, but trust me, the importance of all these
people can’t be judged through it.
Starting
with my parents whose indispensable support throughout my life can’t be
expressed through words. But then it is always good to give a tribute, even though
a small one.
Secondly,
I’m thankful to all the teachers who have taught me till date, be it in school,
college etc. After all, it is not an easy task to control a kid like me.
Third
to this list are my friends (a dozen or more) who have inspired me to get my
lazy ass working through their constant nagging, motivation and tips, all
during the chai biscuit hangout. *Smoking is injurious to health; remember*
Last
on the thanksgiving, but had these people not been there the night before the interview
for this company, then probably, I wouldn’t have been posting this thing.

I
remember that motivational speech at 12.30am in the night from you Roopal ma’am.
And, trust me; it was as good as that dialogue from the movie Chak De India. ;)

Thank you...

I have finally
completed (read: survived) 3 years of my college life and trust me, it wasn’t
easy at all. And during this period of survival, I have got in touch with a lot
of people, a lot. People who have been mates, colleagues, life savers and what
not? Everybody had their own contribution in some or the other way. Few among
those people are my seniors.
Too bad I couldn’t be
there on the signature day, though I really wanted to be. I had a lot of things
in my mind to scribble on your clothes which sadly couldn’t be possible. So,
I’ve taken this time out to thank you for the part you have played in my life.
Here is a sweet short
message for everyone who has made a difference in my life and with whom I feel
connected in some or the other way:
Akshay Sharma sir: You
have been truly delightful and a really cool guy.

Abhijeet sir: You are a very
passionate person who has plans for everything. You inspire a lot of people
through your attitude and ever-disciplined nature. More than happy to be touch
with you. Wish to stay in contact. J
Akrit Kashyap sir: It was great to be
working with you in the college Editorial board. You always see the good in
others and that is one of the best qualities you possess. I don’t you how you remain
so calm all the time! Bdw, I wish you were present on the Farewell day.

surprised to see your name on this list, isn’t it? Well, I never said that it

Anurag Kashyap sir: Wish I could give
you ‘The Problem Solver’ award. You always had some or the other solution to every
problem that I used to bring to you. Also, I find you pragmatic. Mauka mila to
milenge zaroor. J
Jaya ma’am: You are more like an elder
sister to me than a ma’am. You are exceptionally sweet and full of potential to
do anything. We share a lot of things together, like, the same locality, same
college bus and I’m friends with your brother as well. We will be in touch J
Maryada Jain ma’am: Why are you so shy?
Bhopalis are not shy! You have been always good to me. Stay in touch. J
Monica di: I know you since the school days. You
have been an all-rounder all the time. You are very pretty and I’m sure, a lot
of people must have complimented that. You have always helped me during tough
times and I’m thankful to you for that. Hope to see you soon. J
Narendra Sir: Kya personality he
sir aapki, seriously! We both are Thakur (yes, I’m as well), but personality
wise I stand nowhere in front of you. Not just this, you are very supportive
and a lovely person to interact with. Hope to stay in touch with you in the
time to come. J
Namita ma’am: You are really amiable and one
of my favorite seniors. Will stay in touch. J
Kshitij Sir: I simply go speechless when it
comes to you. You are really frank and a masti-khoor at the same time. Hope to
see you again. J
Roopal ma’am: Wish I could be as articulate as
you. You are one among those people with whom I feel like ‘apna-pan’. Unlucky
on my part that I couldn’t meet you before you left the city of lakes. But, my
spidy senses tell me that we will meet very soon. J
Poorva Sharma ma’am:
We
1st met during the farewell and ever since that time we have been in
touch. I find you affable and intelligent. Delighted to have got in touch with
you! J
Saransh Sir: Aapka koi ‘Saransh’ mila nhi
mijhe. Isliye pura pura hi likh deta hun. You have been of a great help all the
way through. Most of the Shivanis that I possess are yours. Thanks for your
selfless contribution. Not just this, you are soft spoken as well. Kabhi khelte
he cricket, aap, mein aur baaki ke 20 khiladi without Bagpiper soda :D
Paresh sir: You are my all-time favorite.
Bas, thoda sa khafa hun, Bhopal aate ho aap and 1 bar bhi milte nhi ho. -_-

passed out last year and I couldn’t meet you. We have known each other since 5th
grade and that binds us even more. I still remember that strange encounter near
the college gate after which we reunited after aeons of years. Stay the way you

With that being put,
it doesn’t mean other people didn’t have any contribution at all. I’ve memories,
though little, with almost everyone which I will savor for the rest of my life.
In the end, I would
just say, there is nothing good about goodbyes if there is no certainty of
meeting again. So, I would be delighted if we luckily get stumble somewhere or
put up a get together in the time to come. Also, if you ever require my help, I
will be more than happy to do that and vice-versa (I hope). Best wishes for the
new ventures that life has in store for you. J

24 YEARS ON 22 YARDS- A Tribute to the legend, SIR SACHIN RAMESH TENDULKAR
The
person I’m referring here, needs no formal introductions. You might not be
aware who your neighbor is but you certainly know this legend, Sir Sachin
Ramesh Tendulkar. And indeed, this article is a tribute to his 24 years of
service to the nation.
Well,
the words might just not be enough to show gratitude, shower respect and praise
his achievements. Thus, have collected his blissful moments, never ending
records and some unforgettable memories

Here
is a video of his FINAL speech which literally welled up my eyes. Actually, I did
cry a little. #NoShameToAccept
In
the end, I will just conclude saying that Sachin was just not cricket to India.
He had bigger importance than many other people in our country. And literally,
I’m proud to say that I grew up in the era of Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar and was highly
lucky to see him play. Perhaps, the upcoming generation will never know how
much this man meant to the nation!
Plus,
Sachin Tendulkar is the youngest and only sportsperson to win Bharat Ratna
award. So you see, it is a brilliant start to his new innings. J

A TRIBUTE
I
had my birthday yesterday (i.e. 22nd October) which went pretty
awesome and here I’am to say thanks to everyone who wished me. Although, Facebook
wasn’t a bad place to show my gratitude to them but since it is too mainstream
to post every happenings over there so here I’m for a change J
First
of all, thank you mom and dad for everything you have done for me J
Undoubtedly,
it is great to have friends in life who no matter what happens will be ready to
kick your ass on your birthday right outside your own house! Lucky Me J
But unlucky my butt :D
Thank
you Meshu, Lohiya, Shailu, Shalini, Parikshit, Nishita, Rahul, Nupur, Shivangi
and Supriya for the gift and cake. I just loved it :P Also, dhanywaad for that greeting
